巽先生が編集委員の一人を務められるアメリカ研究ウェブ雑誌 JTAS最新号（Vol. 11, Issue 2, 2020）が刊行されました！

The Journal of Transnational American Studies (JTAS) 最新号は、二つの特別フォーラムと一つのシンポジウムを掲載。一つめの特別フォーラム “Covid-19 Commentary”は、四本の論考を収録しています。新型コロナウイルス感染症による地球規模の影響を脱国家的アメリカ研究の視座——台湾、香港、トルコ、オーストラリア——から捉えつつ、研究教育方法およびアメリカのいまゆれ動く世界的立ち位置の把握方法を探究します。二つ目の特別フォーラム “Transnational Nuclear Imperialisms”は、五本の論考から構成。核産業の諸問題を先住民共同体の搾取・破壊・排除に起因すると明確にみなし、その “nuclear imperialism”に対する抵抗を脱国家的枠組から捉えることで、それぞれの専門性・地域性を抱えてきたニュークリア・スタディーズ研究者同士の対話を再活性化させることを企図します。本フォーラムでは、松永京子先生（神戸市外国語大学）による “Indigenous Antinuclear Literary Resistance: Jim Northrup’s Satire and Anishinaabe Trans/nationalism”をお読み頂けます！

続くシンポジウム“Framing American History: A Symposium in Honor of Thomas Bender”は、五本の論考を掲載。アメリカ史研究における “Synthetic Thinking”の意義を念頭に、脱国家的な視座による歴史記述の可能性を再考します。ここでは、三田キャンパスで講演してくださったこともある（2014年 / 2016年 / 2017年）グレッグ・ロビンソン先生（ケベック大学モントリオール校）の “Foreign-Language Scholarship and the Teaching of United States History”もお読み頂けます！

復刻セクション “Reprise”は、ヘーゲルのテクストで幕を開け、ゲイリー・オキヒロで閉じられる四本の論考を収録。ジョージ・フロイドの事件を起点に、アメリカの基盤（ground）と地理（geography）を脱国家的惑星的磁場のもとで了承すること、脱国家的アメリカ研究者の方法論および思考と実践の領域内で、その地理が孕んできた人種的要素を再評価、再測定、再存在論化することを目論みます。最新研究書からの抜粋を集めたセクション “Forward”は、アメリカ文学研究のスタンダードを刷新するテクストを七本掲載。巽先生が寄稿された絶賛刊行中の最新刊 Anthologizing Poe: Editions, Translations, and (Trans)National Canonsからも序文が収録されています！（本書 CPA詳細）ご関心のある方は、この機会にぜひアクセスを！（こちらからお読み頂けます）

  • 2.1 (2010)　W・E・B・デュボイスの未発表論考 “The Afro-American” を収録。また、 JTAS 編集顧問を務め、2009年に逝去されたエモリー・エリオット氏の “Terror, Aesthetics, and the Humanities in the Public Sphere” を収録。

  • 9.1 (2018) 特集 “Transnational American Studies as Transdiciplinary Collaboration”を掲載。序文セクションには、巽先生の巽先生の英語最新著書 Young Americans in Literature: The Post-Romantic Turn in the Age of Poe, Hawthorne and Melville から Chapter 2 “Origins of Originality: Poe—Hawthorne—Noguchi”を収録。
  • 10.1 (2019) 二つの特集を収録。 “Archipelagoes/Oceans/American Visuality” は、六本の研究論文／ 16点あまりの造型芸術・インスタレーション／応答の三部構成。前号に引き続く、学際的なアプローチを通じた環境/社会/文化に関わる議論を収録。“Transnational Black Politics and Resistance from Enslavement to Obama” は、編者による序論と五本の論文を通じて、18世紀から現代におよぶブラック・アクティヴィズムを世界規模で考察。
  • 10.2 (2019) 詩人、批評家、JTAS 創設メンバーの一人シャーリー・ジョクリン・リム氏特集: “FESTSCHRIFT: THE POETRY & POETICS OF SHIRLEY GEOK-LIN LIM.”  計八本の論考を通じ、「旅」や「家族」の主題/ 動物の（時にグロテスクな）比喩/「過去」との出会い方・描き方等々に注視しながら、リム氏の「トランスナショナル」な主体/主題/文体が同時代の性差/地域/政治/環境関連アクティヴィズムと密接な様相をもつものとして照射。特集最後には、五つの未発表詩作品が特別掲載。
