巽先生が編集委員の一人を務められるアメリカ研究ウェブ雑誌 JTAS最新号（Vol. 10, Issue 2, 2019）刊行です！

巽先生が編集委員の一人を務められるアメリカ研究ウェブ雑誌 The Journal of Transnational American Studies (JTAS) 最新号（Vol. 10, Issue 2, 2019）が刊行！昨年、満を持して刊行された The Routledge Companion to Transnational American Studies から三本の論文が収録されています！

本号の特集は、詩人であり批評家であり JTAS 創設メンバーの一人でもあるシャーリー・ジョクリン・リム氏をフィーチャー: “FESTSCHRIFT: THE POETRY & POETICS OF SHIRLEY GEOK-LIN LIM.”  計八本の論考を通じ「旅」や「家族」の主題/ 動物の比喩（時にグロテスクな）/「過去」との出会い方・描き方等々に注視することで、リム氏の「トランスナショナル」な主体/主題/文体が、同時代の性差/地域/政治/環境にかかわるアクティヴィズムと密接な様相をもつものとして浮き彫りにされていきます。特集最後には、五つの未発表詩作品が特別掲載。なにとぞお見逃しなく！

論文 ARTICLESセクションには三本の論考が掲載されるほか、重要最新研究書の序文ないしその一部を揃えた FORWARDセクションはジェニファー・ライマー先生が担当、十本の論文が収録されています。ここには、巽先生が編者の一人を務められた The Routledge Companion to Transnational American Studies から三本の論文が掲載！CPAでもお知らせしてきたとおり、本書は昨年 3月にラウトレッジ社から刊行され、過日 12月6日（金）には慶應三田キャンパスで本書を言祝ぐ国際シンポジウムも開催されました（※詳細はリンクからどうぞ）。本号においては、本書の第 8章 “The Barbary Frontier and Transnational Allegories of Freedom” (Karim Bejjit), 第 30章 “Post-Apocalyptic Geographies and Structural Appropriation” (Hsuan L. Hsu & Bryan Yazell),  第 22章 “Laws of Forgiveness: Obama, Mandela, Derrida” (Nina Morgan) がお読みいただけます。また、シェリー・フィッシャー・フィシュキン先生共編の The Chinese and the Iron Road: Building the Transcontinental Railroad (2019) から、序文および第三章 “The View from Home: Dreams of Chinese Railroad Workers across the Pacific” (Zhang Guoxiong; Hsu, Roland) が収録。要チェックです！

加えて、セリーナ・レイ・ヘンダーソン先生が担当される復刻 REPRISEセクションには、ニーナ・モーガン先生によるシャーリー・ジョクリン・リム氏への約 20年前のインタビューが掲載: “Locating Shirley Geok-lin Lim: An Interview by Nina Morgan” (2000) . また、アメリカ文学アンソロジーの中国語翻訳である『美国文学大辞典』（2005年）から、編者による序文 “Connecting a Different Reading Public: Compiling 美国文学大辞典” (Yu Jianhua) および収録作家・用語インデックスが、更には、The Power of Culture: Encounters between China and the United States (2016) から二本の論文が収録されています。

  • 10.1 (2019) 二つの特集を収録。 “Archipelagoes/Oceans/American Visuality” は、六本の研究論文／ 16点あまりの造型芸術・インスタレーション／応答の三部構成。前号に引き続く、学際的なアプローチを通じた環境/社会/文化に関わる議論を収録。“Transnational Black Politics and Resistance from Enslavement to Obama” は、編者による序論と五本の論文を通じて、18世紀から現代におよぶブラック・アクティヴィズムを世界規模で考察。
