巽先生が編集委員の一人を務められるアメリカ研究ウェブ雑誌 The Journal of Transnational American Studies (JTAS) の最新号（Volume 8, Issue 1, 2017）が刊行されました！

本号は「トランプ時代」における「国境横断的アメリカ研究」とは何かを問いかけます。「国境」が目に見えて問題化される一方、むしろ国境横断的視座から、グロリア・アンザルデューアの歌う「ボーダーランズ」に注視することを通じ、国家アイデンティティ/内政/国際外交それぞれの複雑な交錯性を明らかにすることを目指します。

本号特集 “La Floride française: Florida, France, and the Francophone World” は、こうした視座のもと “French Florida” に注目。この場所を一つの「コンタクト・ゾーン」として捉え、仏語世界を軸としつつ、先住民/スペイン/カリブ諸島との交流を浮き彫りにする論考も収録（計 10本）。なお、論文セクションには 9本の論考が掲載、復刻セクション（過去の重要文献を再掲）には、束の間の逃避地・仮宿としてのミュンヘン/ベルリン/タンジール/香港を扱う 2つの論考＆ 1つのインタビュー（with ポール・ボウルズ）が収録されています。

最新研究書の序文を揃えたセクションは、本号もグレッグ・ロビンソン先生がご担当。今回は、1) アフリカ系アメリカ人旅行者の語りに関わるもの、2) 国境横断的アメリカ研究の構成要素について再考を促すもの、計 15本を収録。2010年に慶應義塾大学でご講演されたワイ・チー・ディモク先生編纂の最新アメリカ文学アンソロジーAmerican Literature in the World: An Anthology from Anne Bradstreet to Octavia Butler (Columbia UP, 2017) も紹介されています。ご関心のある方は、本号にもぜひアクセスを！（→こちらからご覧頂けます）
