4/7-10: 第五回国際ポー会議開催のお知らせ

第五回国際ポー会議が下記のとおり開催されます！巽先生は、本会議プログラム検討委員をお務めになられているほか、第二日目（4月 8日）のセッション I-C: Poe’s detective Fiction I にて、“The Purloined Voice: Poe, de Man, Nixon”をご発表されます。また、続くセッション II-C: Poe and Illness および 第三日目（4月 9日）のセッション VI-C: Poe and the Senses では、司会をお務めになられます。

ほかにも日本からは、第二日目に、石川まりあさん（マサチューセッツ大学アマースト校）が “Mystified Laughter: Edgar Allan Poe’s Secret Writing and the Subject of Humor” (III-B: Poe Mocked and Mocking; April 8) を、 河野智子先生（神奈川工科大学）が “The Space between the Two Deaths: The Psychoanalytic Effect of Poe’s Mesmerism in ‘The Facts in the Case of M. Valdemar’” (IV-D: Poe and the Occult; April 8) をご発表されます。

また、第三日目には、好井千代先生（大阪大学）が “‘Sentient’ Fungi: ‘The Fall of the House of Usher’ and the Emerging Germ Theory of Disease” (V-B: Poe and Science III: Springing Up like Mushrooms; April 9) を、福島祥一郎先生（同志社女子大学）が “Being between a System and Another System: Poe’s ‘The Man of the Crowd’ and Place” (VIII-C: Poe and Fiction II; April 9) をご発表されます。
